We have made it to cambodia!! After a travel day that felt like a travel week, WE MADE IT!! Fun fact, before Saturday, I had never been on a plane before (that I actually remember). So the fact that my first flight ever was 10 hours kind of shocked my mind and body. We started out Saturday with a 1 ½ hr drive to the ATL airport, then a 10 hr flight to Istanbul, Turkey for a 2hr layover!!!!! We got to walk around the Istanbul airport for 2 hrs and it was so amazing! So many shops and people of different cultures. After that, we had a 12 hr layover in Thailand and did so many things! We got to visit many malls, markets and had the BEST thai tea with boba!! YUM!!!

Finally, we had a 1hr flight to the bode’!!! I don’t even remember it because I was so tired and slept through it all. You can ask Maddie Lynch!!! For that being my first travel day, it was pretty fun, but very tiring. My body is trying to catch up on sleep and is trying to adjust to an 11 hr time difference!!! Since we got to our ministry location, we have been blessed with a beautiful church to stay at and precious ministry hosts. They have so graciously provided beautiful food and friendship!! I thank God for the kindness and patience that they have shown us the past couple of days while we are adjusting!!!!

Let me tell you a little bit about our ministry opportunity this month!!! Team Alabaster gets to do house visits in the morning. This consists of us going to the members of the church’s home and praying over them. The first house we got to visit was a woman who was bedridden and unable to go to church. Her daughter and sister take care of her daily because of her illness. But still, she had a big smile on her face and told us how thankful she was to have us. When we prayed her tears brought me to tears. It humbled me so much, in America we don’t know how good we have it until it’s taken from us. This experience (and it’s only the beginning!) has been so eye opening to see the way God so graciously provides every step of the way. Scripture says ALL things work for good for those who love him. I have seen this first hand even in these past few days. The Lord is so kind and continues to show himself worthy of praise!! The second part of our ministry is teaching English to Cambodian children!!! AH SO FUN!! We get to teach them English while telling them about JESUS!! They are so willing to learn and so patient with us!! Pray that God would keep sending laborers to reap the seeds we are planting in them!!

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN PRAY!!!

  • Pray for supernatural rest for my team this week
  • Pray for laborers to be sent to Cambodia
  • Pray for how the Lord might be moving YOU to GO!!
  • Pray and consider how you can help my teammates get fully funded!!
  • Pray for this church we are serving with, pray for boldness to share the gospel and that people would sense that something about them is different!!!
  • Pray that the American church would become more undignified/bold for JESUS!!!!

Thank you again for your prayers and support!!! It means the world (race) to me!!! Haha see what I did there?! :)))

Please comment any prayer requests/encouragement/scriptures on your heart!! I would LOVE to hear from YOU!! and here’s some pics!!!
